I felt pretty good today. I almost forgot again that I'm preggers....
I figure, based on my date of conception that I am starting my eight week.

I have a little belly, but I don't know if it's baby material, or just gas!!! :-)

DH told his friends at work today. They are all excited for us. I haven't told anyone yet because I want to wait for the 2nd trimester. It's killing me though.
Everytime I talk to one of my family members, or someone at work, I think I'm going to burst!
We will announce it to the family on Labor Day (my birthday!!!) because that is when everyone comes to visit us each year. I know everyone will be excited for us.

DH was soo cute tonight. He is worried and anxious, but he is starting to get excited about baby. We both feel that this is probably the best time financially, healthwise and emotionally for us. He thinks it would be really cool if we had a boy. He is really in awe about the whole thing. It's a big deal and definitely a life changing event. I'll just keep praying for a healthy baby.

The neat thing is that since I lost 30 lbs since January, my full-term weight will probably be only 1-2 lbs over my January weight! You can read more about my weight loss journey with WW on my website.... I'm still journalling my food, but I'm allowing alot more points!

That's all for now. It's late, and I've got to get to bed....

ps.... My website is out there in the world. I'm excited because I've already gotten a visitor from South Africa!
I still need to add alot more detail, but I'm doing it a little at a time.

ps2... Forgot to mention that the funky hearing thing went away (Praise God!). I put 2 drops of hydrogen peroxide in my right ear. Didn't seem to help that much, but the next day during Sunday morning Praise and Worship (actually sound check), I noticed that the wierd buzzing was gone! God is good!

I am dragging today. Still no morning sickness, thank goodness. I have nightmares about having to puke while on a Metro train. Yuck! So far, so good. I sometimes forget that I'm expecting!

Of late, I've taken up walking. I was riding my bike before, but with BOTW, I'm sort of afraid to get on the bike now. (Afraid? Or just a convenient excuse???? hmmmm....) I bought a pedometer about 2 months ago to track my walking for my weight loss journey. (Yippie, lost 32 lbs, just in time to temporarily gain some of it back!)

I have been trying to take a lot more walking trips around the neighborhood and have been enjoying my treks. I'm fortunate in that I can walk to the library, bank, grocery store and the "commercial" center of my neighborhood, featuring my favorite gelato bar.

Last week, I took a trip to the library, then my gelato bar and headed home. On the way, I noticed a roadside produce market. They've been around for a while, I just never thought to stop. I decided to drop in and buy some sweet corn and nectarines. The sweet corn would be a great accompaniment to the meal I was planning on grilling that night. Turns out they are open everyday.

I plan to continue these treks throughout pregnancy and even with baby in tow! Walking is something that can be done by everyone. Walking is great: it's cheap and can be done with little investment or expense. Also, you get to notice things that you wouldn't notice as you zip around on your bike or in your car.

Walking, to me, represents a carefree life of leisure. Walking is a lost art. It's something that is done on vacation or when you have extra time. Hopefully, by walking more often, I can get the feel of vacation and leisure, even on an ordinary day! Not to mention the exercise needed for pregnancy!

I'm getting ready for church, now, but I wanted to jot a few notes about posts I want to write about later:

The Joy of Walking

Commuter Trains

My new website!

Wow, this blog thing really does work.... cool...

In general, I've enjoyed my pregnancy. It's been fairly mild (still early though!).
I have not had morning sickness too badly, but I have had mild bouts of queasiness and nausea.

This is going to sound crazy though, but now I'm having hearing problems. I think it might be tinnitus. It's like I hear a buzzing around the noises I hear. Like, when someone speaks, I hear their voice and a distorted, lower version of their voice.
Strange...... I'm going to have to check with the Dr. on this on. This is just too wierd.

Symptoms started yesterday and I hope it's not a permanent thing....

Hello there,
It seems like everyone is doing it, so I am joining the blog trend.

Actually, I was planning on keeping a hand-written journal.... we'll see which one ends up working out.

It's official, DH and I are expecting a baby!!!
DH did not want kids, but it looks like God had other plans!
We are both nervous but getting excited each day. (I'm excited, he's nervous!!)

This is a journal of my pregnancy. I won't write about everything, but hopefully just some interesting highlights.
